I have been attempting to load a Reckon program from disc (I've tried 2 different discs, same program) I get a msg that the program couldn't load Microsoft Runtime, so load fails. I have another Reckon program on my pc, which works fine. I've also been trying to download VMware, and get the same issue.' Set-up cannot continue. The Microsoft Runtime DLL Installer failed to complete installation'.
Microsoft support say I should contact the manufacturer, but Microsoft is the manufacturer and I have the same issue with products from 2 totally different software providers?? Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
